OMNNI provided construction administration services for the complete urban reconstruction of 0.6 miles of Appleton Road which was completed on an accelerated schedule including a 75-calendar day closure of the interchange with USH 10/STH 441.
The project included roundabout construction at the ramp terminals, permanent and temporary ramp construction, detention pond construction, and streetscaping with a requirement for full pedestrian access through the work zone. Staged mainline STH 441 work included bridge widening, and re-decking for the ultimate 6-lane cross section and profile with temporary vertical tie-ins to the existing STH 441 profile.
This project received the 2016 National Silver Award for Excellence in Concrete Pavement (Municipal Streets & Intersections >30,000 SY) from the American Concrete Pavement Association for projects constructed in 2015.
