EAA Site Plan

EAA Site Plan

Oshkosh, Wisconsin

OMNNI provided program management for implementation of a site plan to comprehensively redesign and upgrade the Experimental Aircraft Association’s AirVenture site. Improvements included a revised layout for more efficient navigation of the site, new pathways and roadways to better separate pedestrians and vehicles, way-finding signage, upgraded on-site transportation equipment and facilities, improved shower and bathroom facilities, hundreds more electrical hookups for campers, and campground social pavilions.

The improved outdoor exhibit space included approximately three miles of new pavement. The new pavement included green initiatives such as 20,000 tons of recycled asphalt and aggregate, porous asphalt pavement used to improve downstream water quantity and quality, and GeoWeb installed as a pavement alternative adjacent to gravel roads, reducing runoff and improving water quality.
