The award–winning project included replacement of the STH 96, Fox River Bridge with a new bridge constructed on a new alignment south of the existing bridge in Wrightstown, Wisconsin. The bridge construction included a 14-span, concrete girder bridge over the Fox River (7 spans), over CTH ZZ (1 span) and over land including an environmentally sensitive area on the east side of the river (6 spans). Roundabouts were constructed at both approaches to the bridge. Accommodations for bikes and pedestrians were included, as well as aesthetic features that complement the surrounding community and its heritage. Look-outs on each side provide a place for pedestrians to rest and view the Fox River.
